In Germany they are eaten for breakfast or as a sweet lunch.

Ingredients

250 g flour

500 ml milk

4 eggs

1 pinch of salt

1 tbsp sugar

Butter for frying

Directions

Put the flour, salt and sugar in a bowl.

Add the milk and eggs and whisk into a smooth batter.

Let the batter rest for 10 minutes.

Heat a little butter in a pan, add a ladle of batter and swirl the pan to spread it thinly.

Fry for about 1 to 2 minutes on each side until golden brown.

Serve with sugar, apple sauce or jam.
